SKALR did not start as an agency. It started as a few freelance Meta Ads specialists helping UK businesses independently, who realised they could do far more for their clients working together than working apart.

Before SKALR

Three freelancers, three specialisms

Before SKALR existed, we worked as independent freelancers, each running Meta Ads for our own clients. One of us focused on ecommerce campaigns, one on creative and content, one on the technical side of tracking and funnels. We were all doing similar work for similar businesses, just separately.

The problem

Good freelancers, but a ceiling on what one person can do

Working alone has a ceiling. A single freelancer can manage the ads, but they cannot also be the creative specialist, the copywriter, and the reporting analyst at the same time without something slipping. We kept seeing the same gap in the businesses we worked with: they needed more than one person could realistically deliver well.

We joined up to fix that. SKALR combines what each of us was already doing well into one service: strategy, creative, copy, tracking, and weekly reporting, delivered by people who have actually run the campaigns rather than someone reading from a script. One fixed price, one team, no juggling multiple freelancers yourself.

A UK Meta Ads agency built on that foundation

SKALR now runs Meta Ads for UK businesses across home improvement, ecommerce, dental and aesthetics, gyms, and more. The way we work has not changed much from our freelance days: direct communication, honest numbers, and no interest in vanity metrics. We just do it as one team instead of three separate ones.
