Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 July 2026. This policy explains how SKALR Marketing collects and uses your personal data when you visit this website or get in touch with us.
Who we are
SKALR Marketing ("SKALR", "we", "us", "our") is a UK Meta Ads agency. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use skalrmarketing.co.uk, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@skalrmarketing.co.uk.
What we collect
When you fill in a form on this site (on the Contact page or via a Meta Instant Form), we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, and monthly ad budget, along with anything you write in a free text field.
When you browse the site, we automatically collect standard technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring source.
We do not collect payment details through this website. Any billing information is handled separately once you become a client, through a dedicated invoicing and payment process.
Meta Pixel and Conversions API
We use the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors reach and use this site, and to measure the performance of our own Meta advertising. The Pixel sets cookies in your browser (_fbc and _fbp) that identify your browsing session to Meta.
We also use Meta's Conversions API (CAPI) to send certain events, such as a form submission, directly from our server to Meta. Where this includes personal data (your email, first name, or phone number), that data is hashed using SHA-256 before it is sent. Meta receives a hashed value it cannot reverse back into your original details.
This data is used to measure ad performance and to build audiences for future advertising, both by us and, subject to Meta's own policies, by Meta. You can control this at the browser level using ad blockers or by adjusting your cookie preferences, and at the platform level through your Meta account's ad settings.
Cookies
This site uses cookies for two purposes: to make the site function properly, and to measure and improve our marketing, primarily through the Meta Pixel described above.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.
Other services we use
hCaptcha: used on our forms to prevent automated spam submissions. hCaptcha may process some technical data as part of verifying you are human. See hCaptcha's own privacy policy for details of how they handle this.
Resend: used to deliver enquiry notifications from our forms to our team by email. Your form submission is transmitted through Resend's infrastructure to reach us.
We choose providers that meet UK GDPR standards, but we encourage you to review their own privacy policies if you want the full detail of how each one processes data on our behalf.
Why we process your data
To respond to your enquiry and provide the service you have asked about, this is necessary to take steps toward a contract with you.
To measure and improve our advertising, based on our legitimate interest in running an effective, cost efficient marketing campaign.
To meet our own legal and accounting obligations once you become a client.
How long we keep your data
Enquiry data from people who do not go on to become clients is kept for up to 24 months, then deleted, unless you ask us to remove it sooner.
Client data is kept for the duration of our working relationship and for a further period afterward as required by UK tax and accounting law, typically six years.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@skalrmarketing.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new tool or service that processes personal data. The date below shows when it was last updated. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
